May 8, 2024 POSITION SUMMARY: The Commercial Finance Analyst supports the Finance, FP&A, Sales, Operations , and Executive teams with reporting, performance tracking and analysis of the key accounts of all Polytainers' product lines. The role reports to the Commercial Finance Manager based in the corporate office, helping and participating in projects led by the CFO and VP of Sales. POSITION RESPONSIBILITES: Commercial Planning and Sales Support to sales strategy Collaborate with Sales leads by preparing reports for the Sales and Operations meetings. Provide any data required to allow in-depth customer performance analysis. Reporting and Maintenance tasks Execute month end tasks and maintain reports such as CDI and IHS price sheets. Maintain Resin prices and FX inputs in LX ensuring information accuracy in timely manner. Review monthly prices to customers. Review dockets received from graphics department. Assist in correcting pricing discrepancies between customer PO and amount invoiced. Build and maintain sales reports in Excel, BOARD, and in any other analytical tools to provide sales insights in timely manner. Assess and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency in the department through people and technology. Take initiative to pursue automation projects to formalize and standardize price list updates and communication cadence with customers. Provide suggestions to implement lean driven practices and procedures, related but not limited to customer experience delivery. Support Financial Analysis processes Support Controller's team in tracking KPI's for the company's key customer accounts. Contribute to the analysis and interpretation of business results to aid corporate decision making. Assist Commercial Finance Manager in putting data together to build P&Ls for the key accounts and helps to analyze the results to provide business insights to senior leadership. Run corporate sales reports and helps monitor customer expenses related to freights and pallets and support pricing analysts to evaluate discounts and other incentives (shipping, retention, etc.). Support the Budgeting process by executing tasks related but not limited to: Prices updates, sales analysis and estimation of expenses associated to distribution and commercialization (freights, pallets, discounts, etc.), and to help loading budget inputs in the CPM platform. Leverage CRM and help to collect inputs to update the upcoming opportunities report. Help communicate the reporting tools capabilities across the company to achieve efficient and agile information sharing. Collaboration and involvement in Cross-functional teams Assist the Commercial Finance Manager in voicing the financial planning perspective in any project where the department is involved. Assist and collaborate with any ad hoc reports and provide financial information to FP&A stakeholders such as purchasing, controlling and operations departments. Collaborate with IT department to accomplish automation of processes related but not limited to customer key information and prices indexation. Other Duties Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Degree in Commerce, Business, Finance or related fieldsBasic understanding of manufacturing business processes.+1 Year experience in Manufacturing and/or CPG as finance analystPrevious experience managing and analyzing datasetsExperience working with cross-functional teams and ability to work on several simultaneous deliverablesMS Excel advanced level and ability to create PowerPoint presentations SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Ability to prioritize multiple demands for results and decisionsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailStrong interpersonal communication skills, with people at all levels of the organizationAbility to work independently, anticipate and react to frequently changing business conditions with proven ability to perform under tight deadlinesHands on individual with high level of business acumen and understanding of the factors influencing the business and economic environmentComfortable with change and ambiguity, adaptable and flexible to work with different stakeholders 197 Norseman St, Etobicoke, ON M8Z 2R5, Canada
