We seek an experienced and skilled Database Administrator to join our team and play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud database infrastructure. The successful candidate will possess a good understanding of database technologies and a proven track record of delivering successful projects in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and design scalable cloud database architectures.• Ensure the smooth implementation and maintenance of database systems.• Develop and implement database management strategies, including data governance and data security measures.• Monitor and analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and scalability of database systems.• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud computing, data management, and database technologies, and recommend improvements to existing systems.• Work closely with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and industry standards.• Document and maintain technical documentation related to the work done.• Participate in capacity planning exercises and ensure efficient resource utilization. Critical Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.• 5+ years of experience in database management.• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS).• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Ansible Automation and Shell Programming.• Experience in working with complex database architectures.• Familiarity with Oracle OMS and Oracle TDE.• Experience in using database backup, monitoring and performance tools.• Experience in designing and implementing database architectures.• Experience in data security.• Familiarity with Python.• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred CertificationsAdditional Requirements • Familiarity with database security and compliance regulations.• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.• Experience in DevOps practices and methodologies.• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment . Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.  Additional Information: For work arrangements that are 'Hybrid', successful candidates must be based in Canada and report to a set Bell office for a minimum of 3 days a week.
