About Us:

Markaz is on the mission to supercharge the rails of e-commerce for the common man in Pakistan. We want to empower the Pakistani middle class, with a special focus on women who are currently not part of the Pakistani financial ecosystem, and help establish hundreds of thousands of new online entrepreneurs in the coming years. We enable anyone in Pakistan to start their online business with zero investment from the comfort of their home and make money by selling products through different social media channels like WhatsApp and Facebook. All they have to do is download the Markaz app, get access to 1,000s of products, share them on their social media with a profit margin and get orders. Markaz will take care of everything else: delivery, payments, customer experience and profit dissemination.

About the Role:

As a Supply Operations Associate, you will act as the primary point of contact with suppliers, developing and maintaining strong and trustworthy relationships with them. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in vendor management. If you are a self-starter with a strong desire to succeed, we want to hear from you.  

Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end supply processes, from inbound management to order concerns and order dispatching on a timely basis

Responsible for steering the supplier operations to the agreed SLAs and KPIs

Work as the first point of contact with the suppliers, maintaining strong and trustworthy relationships with them

Works as the first point of contact for internal stakeholders for all supply related concerns

Maintain relationships with existing suppliers to improve current product listings, supplier performance and achieve supply acquisition targets

Provide support to suppliers with listings, sales, payments, pickups and dispatch

Help improve supplier experience by providing quick support in areas of order dispatch, returns, listings, payments, tech support and any area where suppliers need quick one-to-one support

Be the go-to-person for all critical operations of the city. You'll be assisting the city lead in ensuring smooth operations in Lahore

Skills Needed:

Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field

Preferable 1+ years' experience in operations and vendor management

High level of independence, self-confidence and responsibility

Experience working in a fast paced and dynamic environment

Able to work cohesively, detail-oriented, organized with the ability to multitask

Strong cross functional and collaboration skills

Effective communication and negotiation skills

Prior experience with maintaining dashboards is a plus

Having a strong bias for action
