Our client is backed by three major investors in Saudi Arabia and operates a state-of-the-art facility specializing in sand mold casting and open-mold forging. With a focus on quality and efficiency, the company aims to produce 60,000 tons per year, catering primarily to local and international clients in the oil and gas sector, as well as other industries. As part of its services, the company also supports the marine and engine industries with its offerings.Currently in a phase of expansion, our client is actively seeking a skilled Cast Shop Manager to spearhead their operations. As the Cast Shop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the cast shop operations, ensuring the efficient and effective production of cast components for our client´s forging and casting processes. You will lead a team of technicians, manage resources, and ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity are met.Responsibilities:- Manage day-to-day operations of the cast shop, including casting, melting, and related processes.- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and efficient production.- Plan and schedule cast shop activities to meet production targets and customer requirement. - Monitor and control casting parameters, such as temperature, alloy composition, and mold design, to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.- Optimize the use of resources, including manpower, furnaces, and materials, to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.- Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of equipment, such as furnaces, ladles, and molds, to ensure optimal performance.- Lead and motivate a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of performance and productivity.- Collaborate with other departments, such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Production, to ensure seamless integration of cast shop operations with upstream and downstream processes.- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.Requirements- Bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering, materials science, or related field.- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the metal casting or forging industry.- Strong knowledge of cast shop operations and casting techniques.- Familiarity with various casting methods such as sand casting, investment casting, and die casting.- Excellent leadership, managerial, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting.BenefitsThe company offers career advancement opportunities as it embarks on establishing a state-of-the-art technological facility from the ground up.
