Reference: 6587906 Daifuku Oceania is a multi-national company looking for an International Trade Compliance and Tax Manager. This is a newly created role to meet growing business demands and offer an excellent opportunity for a experienced professional. Job Summary The International Trade Compliance and Tax Manager will be reporting to the CFO and supporting the Daifuku Oceania Logistics, Procurement and Finance teams to ensure organisational compliance and best practice systems and processes are in place for trade compliance and tax matters. Daifuku Oceania operates in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Middle East and Japan and this role is critical to the business remaining compliant in the constantly evolving customs duty and tax landscape. About the Role The International Trade Compliance and Tax Manager will be responsible for internal controls to ensure custom trade and tax compliance, supporting strategic decisions based on optimal customs and trade compliance solutions, up-to-date reporting, duty declarations, insurance costings and inventory valuations in respect of shipping. In addition, the role will provide specialist advice on customs, duty implications, indirect taxes, GST and any other international trade compliance issues within Daifuku Oceania, and subsidiary companies. About You- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
- A specialist knowledge of tax, in particular international trade compliance.
- Demonstrated experience working in NZ, Australia, and Asia tax environments.
- Demonstrated experience providing advice on transfer pricing.
- Skilled in the resolution of issues with complex global tax, finance and intercompany transactions.
- Sound knowledge of freight forwarding and customs processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence in a continuous improvement culture.
