This role will be a hybrid in-office / remote position, with the expectation of at least two (2) days per week in the office.About the role:The Consumer Marketing Team at TMB is looking for an Assistant Marketing Manager. This position will report to the Senior Marketing Manager, and be responsible for campaign setup, execution and analytics as well as supporting on strategy.About you: The ideal candidate for this role has an analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills and deep understanding of direct marketing principles. You will be responsible for campaign execution and assist with the evaluation of campaign results across various print channels. In addition, you have a strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and have excellent communication skills.Your day-to-day:Work with manager to setup campaigns, execute and provide campaign reporting, managing the campaign timeline and creative tickets via JIRAManage promotional back-end operations which includes keycode, promo grid and component creation for magazine and book campaignsPerform as needed campaign analysis, creating hypotheses and optimization opportunities for future campaigns - Proactively identify and evaluate new campaign opportunities and convert them into short-term or long-term projectsMonitor and manage campaign analytics including performance tracking, summarize information without errors, supporting all direct mail and x-sell activity across magazine and book product linesPrepare campaign / monthly reporting and re-forecasting of campaign results as neededCollaborate actively with broader marketing and creative teams to ensure successful execution of day-to-day activities and campaignsParticipate in departmental or cross-team meetings to communicate results and issuesExecute reporting using advanced media valuation analysis and calculations in Microsoft Excel, using functions such as pivot tables, vlookups, IF formulas and data filtersYou have:BA (Marketing or Business Administration) required3-4+ years' experience in Consumer Marketing as an analyst or marketer. Prior media and/or subscription experience is preferred but not required.Experience with campaign performance analytics such as but not limited to variance to plan analysis, Indices / test result analysis and Profit / LTV analysis.Problem-solving skills, with an exceptional ability to digest new information, master new techniques and translate knowledge to others in a fast-paced environmentAn ability to prioritize and organize issues / projects for self, internal team, and external partnersExcellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills and ability to effectively collaborateStrong attention to detail is a must and ability to catch errorsExperience in Google Analytics, Looker, and any BI tool a plusExpert knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, specifically Excel and PowerPointAbout this team:Our Direct-to-Consumer Marketing team is responsible for bringing new customers and subscribers across print and digital channels for our Family Handyman, Birds & Blooms, Reader's Digest and Taste of Home brands, along with bringing brand awareness to our other TMB brands.
