Thales India Engineering Competency Center in Bangalore is seeking for Technical Lead-Software Quality Assurance. This role will provide QA support to assigned projects, predominantly offering software quality assurance - planning and undertaking quality surveillance activities for software and working with suppliers and internal integration teams to achieve requirements. Ensures implementation of processes, practices and specific tools, to make sure the solution is in line with technical requirements and international Standards (DO178b, DO254, ISO, etc.).Qualifications: B.Tech in Electronics & Communication or Electrical engineering or equivalent with 7 to 12 years of relevant experience in avionics domain.Job Responsibilities:Plan and Implement Software Quality Assurance in projects across ECC.Lead and undertake project QA activities to ensure software tasks are carried out in accordance with agreed work packages and certification plans.Support Certifications (AS-9100- ISO 9001, DO178b, DO254, etc).Monitor the participation of key contributors to make sure that clear governance rules are followed in the project, and make sure that all key actions have been taken before each decision-making step.Support the project teams so that the relevant processes, practices and standards have been followed, and that the product delivered to the customer meets defined requirements.Support Quality Assurance activities including Supplier Quality Assurance to ensure the Project is in line with Customer expectations and agreed quality standard.Skills and competences requirements:Strong experience in Software V&V and willing to work Quality assurance.Strong experience in applying in DO-178 standards.Knowledge / exposure in Continuous Improvement (8D, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma).Customer complaint management experience.Ability to apply QA principles in delivery of products and services in a software development environment.Understanding of systems and software development principles' and lifecycles.Outstanding track record working with a complex network of internal and external stakeholders.Practical experience and working knowledge of business improvement (Lean, Agile etc..).
