Job Description Shape the emotional well-being of children as a Child Psychiatry Consultant in renowned hospitals across Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. This impactful role empowers you to diagnose and manage mental health conditions in children & adolescents, offering support and guiding them towards brighter futures. *Must have recent experience of working in the UK/Europe/USA/Canada/Australia/NewZealand* About the Opportunity: Join the dedicated team and: Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnose a wide range of childhood mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans, incorporating psychotherapy, medication management, and family therapy when needed. Lead multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with paediatricians, psychologists, and other specialists for holistic care. Contribute to research and education, advancing knowledge and training future mental health professionals. Advocate for mental health awareness and destigmatisation, promoting well-being within communities. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough clinical evaluations, utilising advanced diagnostic tools and collaborating with families. Diagnose and manage diverse childhood mental health conditions, tailoring treatment plans to individual needs. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy, and collaborate with psychiatrists for medication management. Lead and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless care coordination and optimal outcomes. Actively participate in research activities, potentially leading to publications and presentations, shaping the future of child psychiatry. Contribute to educating residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals in child mental health. Advocate for mental health awareness and accessibility within communities, tackling stigma and promoting well-being. Qualifications: Board-certified or equivalent in Psychiatry with subspecialty training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry from Europe, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a busy child psychiatry practice with demonstrably positive outcomes for children. Proven expertise in diagnosing and managing diverse childhood mental health conditions. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, combined with a patient-centred and empathetic approach. Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are a plus.
