Title LEAD, PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT (TRADING)

Primary Purpose of Job

• Lead and manage the Production Management team within the Trading Solutions section to provide day-to-day operational support to QatarEnergy Trading (QET) systems and workplace. • Responsible for the smooth operation of QET's production trading applications and workplace covering all business operation hours. • Coordinate and facilitate the IT services delivery at QET workplace (whether support, maintenance, service management and project activities) by effective coordination with all concerned ICT divisions. Monitor the operational and functional integrity of the QET systems, related interfaces, batch jobs and data feeds. • Build strong risk control focused operations and work closely with business partners and risk managers in driving/implementing an effective, robust, pro-active and sustainable production operation environment.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field.

• International certifications in IT Service Management (ITIL or equivalent) preferred.

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 10 years of progressive and directly related experience in production support, technical support, or related roles within trading or banking industries. • Minimum 3 years of proven success as a team lead. • Deep understanding of Trading business, related organization, processes, and technologies solutions (CTRM/ETRM, Fleet Management, Trading Platform, Trading Market Analytics, etc.) • Experience working with CTRM/ETRM systems. • International certifications in IT Service Management (ITIL or equivalent) recommended. • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills. • High proficiency with workplace applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Power BI, SharePoint) • High proficiency with a ticket tracking system, e.g. Azure DevOps (preferred), Jira Service Desk, etc. • Practical experience in Agile, Scrum, Kanban teams as a team lead. • Familiar with IT standards & best practices, architecture, integration, methods. • Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills and ability to negotiate, influence, coordinate and conciliate between different parties (at Trading and ICT) and management levels (end-users, supervisors and management). Be able to explain and present complex technical topics and ideas to tech and non-tech stakeholders.
