Automotive Functional safety engineer

The Automotive Functional Safety Engineer is responsible for ensuring the functional safety and compliance of automotive systems and components, in accordance with relevant industry standards and regulations. This role involves the development and implementation of safety processes and strategies to minimize risks and enhance the safety of automotive products.Responsibilities: Identify and assess potential hazards in automotive systems Develop and implement safety concepts for automotive systems Verify that safety concepts are met throughout the development lifecycle Work with other engineers and stakeholders to integrate safety requirements into the design and development of automotive systems Prepare and maintain safety documentation Conduct verification reviews and confirmation reviews Stay up-to-date on the latest functional safety standards and regulationsQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, or Systems Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Relevant certifications in automotive functional safety, such as ISO 26262, are preferred. Proficiency in safety analysis tools and methodologies, including FMEA, FTA, and DFA. Experience with automotive embedded systems and software development. Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to functional safety in the automotive sector. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Prior experience in an automotive functional safety role is an advantage.
