Senior Software Engineer (Python/Django)

We are looking for a high-performing developer tools person who is passionate about building and maintaining tools for internal users that are scalable.DigitalOcean seeks an accomplished Software Engineer person to become an integral part of our Content and Developer Relations division. The tools you will develop will be used by the internal users at DigitalOcean across teams. The tools will help us move faster, think better, and to focus with more intent. The role includes building the internal tools, the integration with the external tools, and the algorithms to make them valuable. You will be required to work and gather specs and feedback from the teams. Own your share and deliver on the promised commitments. The ideal candidate for this role is a technical expert that can move through the tech stack. You're a good generalist, but are strong in the python side of things.What You'll Be Doing:Own the internal tool building and maintenance within the Content and Developer Relations teams.Manage complex projects with a degree of independence, coordinating with various teams within DigitalOcean as needed.Gain an understanding of our goals, challenges, and environments to deliver the best solutions within our context.Participate in discussions with product marketing, development, and design teams, providing insights to support product adoption and align with industry standards.Build and nurture relationships within the internal teams at DigitalOcean.What We'll Expect From You:Proven experience with Python development, Django is a must.
