This position is part of a newly created Property and PortfolioDevelopment Department at the City of Whittlesea. The SeniorProject Manager (Portfolio Development) is responsible for leadingthe development of the Strategic Property and Portfolio Plan, whichin turn will define a pipeline of mixed use development projectswhich deliver for the community and are commercially feasible, welldesigned and sustainable. The role will lead an expert team toscope, develop and deliver mixed use development projects forCouncil across the municipality, with a focus on optimising Councilland and delivery of community infrastructure. This rolewill work across Council, with external Government departments andprivate sector partners to scope requirements, define the briefsand development concepts, enable agreements, establish efficientand effective delivery models and deliver a pipeline of projects inone of the fastest growing municipalities in Victoria. 

About you

You will apply your property andland development, strategic planning and stakeholder managementexperience and expertise to optimise Council's land portfolio andgrow the property development function in the organisation. Youwill apply commercial acumen to optimise the best outcomes for ourcommunity, and deliver on Council's vision and strategies.You will have experience leading and developing small expert teamsto deliver a significant program of complex projects. To besuccessful in this role you will have the ability to build strongenduring relationships with public and private sector stakeholdersto allow you to deal with a broad range of expectations andclients needs that are often of a competing nature. The rolerequires both strategic planning knowledge as well as advancedproject management capabilities for project excellence. Ideally youwill have experience in navigating complex projects within a publicsector environment.
