Our client specialises in the manufacture and installation of shade sails and shelters across a variety of markets including and over the past several years has established a reputation as a market leader with councils, local government bodies, child care centres, schools, pools, factories, restaurants, to name a few. Currently experiencing exponential growth, they are seeking to secure a Senior Business Development Manager to assist with their growth objectives.
Job Description
Reporting to the MD, you will be responsible for increasing sales revenue across a range of commercial and government market buyers. Your primary function is to promote a range shade sails and shelters by developing strong relationships with new and while also nurturing and growing existing client relationships. Sales revenue opportunities will come through direct sales initiatives as well as RFP response, though at the core of the position will be the establishment of a range of relationships and a deep sales funnel ensuring both direct and RFP revenue opportunities are maximised.
Our client is seeking to engage a seasoned new business developer with a proven track record of growing sales revenue across existing and new markets. Functional requirements include;
Identify new business opportunities and expand on the existing customer base by introducing and promoting our client's brand, products and services
Effective and strategic relationships are developed with regulatory authorities and bodies
Customer site visits, phone and email communications are conducted in a professional and efficient manner
Participate in networking opportunities on a regular basis
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this position, you will have:
Up to 5 years proven B2B sales experience including a track history of developing string sales pipelines across commercial and government buyers
Sales/business development experience working with childcare, education, local government, playground equipment would be ideal (but not essential)
Experience/knowledge of tendering and proactively establishing strategic relationships in RFT prone buying environments
A proven track record of developing and implementing sales plans
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision
Demonstrated commitment to quality, organised and self-motivated and self-driven
