We are currently recruiting a Lead Instrument & Controls Engineer to join a Global EPC in Perth, Australia as part of its Operations APAC West business. This is an initial 12 month opportunity which is expected to be an ongoing requirement for a key energy client. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Instrument & Controls Discipline Lead and working across FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery, across some of world's most technically challenging brownfields Oil & Gas projects. Responsibilities:ActingasfocalpointforInstrument & Controls Engineeringactivitiesacrosstheprojectlifecycle(Concept, FEED, detailed design) to produce fit for purpose solutions.ProducingcosteffectiveInstrument & Controls Engineeringreports, documentsanddeliverablesSupportingandmentoring Instrument & Controls EngineersandDesignersandprovidetechnical assistance as requiredProvidingtechnicalinputtobusiness development,earlycustomer engagement,tendersand studiesActingasaTechnicalAuthority,ensuringtechnicalintegrity ofallworkperformedonprojects.Ensuringallassigned workiscarriedoutincompliancewithagreedbudget andschedule.Qualifications: - Ideally, you will be a qualified engineer with an Instrumentation / Electrical Engineering degree from a recognized institution, and have relevant experience in either a Principal or Lead Instrument & Controls Engineer level role, within the Australian Oil & Gas industry within an EPCM / Engineering design office environment. In addition you will have:Knowledge of SPI for the development of I&C engineering deliverables, control systems, shutdown PLC hardware and software designExtensive design and knowledge of applicable codes and standards (both international and Australian)Proven experience managing risk during the design process consistent with technical and commercial requirementsExcellent analytical, literacy and numerical skillsExcellent communication skills with proven experience in client facing rolesBe prepared to undertake site visits either onshore / offshoreWhat will set you apart will be your in-depth Instrument knowledge supported by relevant experience in design and operations.
