Six Degrees are partnering exclusively with an Australian owned medium sized fresh food business in recruiting their General Manager of Manufacturing. Take on operational P&L responsibility for all operations including; Manufacturing, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Safety & Continuous Improvement. An exciting opportunity to lead all operations onsite within the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. Play a lead role as the business has gone through a significant period of investment, setting up the business for long term sustained success. Be the key stakeholder in continuing to drive the culture forward for the site and invest in its people by playing a supporting role with regards to upskilling, coaching and training. As the General Manager of Manufacturing you have the ability to think strategically and make smart business decisions while also leading the day to day operations of the site. You have a strong level of commercial acumen while being an engaging people oriented senior leader. You are efficient in getting tasks completed and able to effectively engage across all levels cross functionally. You have the ability to think strategically and make smart business decisions. You are an enabler of growth and cost efficiency. The right candidate will demonstrate a proven track record at the senior operations management level in leading a site and delivering results across all areas within operations. What will you need to be successful?Experience in similar leadership roles in Food manufacturing or related industries7+ years' experience at the General Manager or Senior Site leadership level in Food manufacturing or FMCG related industries.Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related disciplinePeople leader with a proven ability to achieve results and drive profitabilityAbility to think strategically across all functions within operations What's next?
