We wholly own QINLOCK and all of our drug candidates with the exception of a development and commercialization out-license agreement for QINLOCK in Greater China. In addition to QINLOCK, we have identified and advanced multiple product candidates from our platform into clinical studies, including vimseltinib and DCC-3116.

Job DescriptionDeciphera is seeking a Director, Commercial Finance to be based in Waltham MA, the company's headquarters. The Director, Commercial Finance will lead the company's Commercial Finance function to support the company's first product on the market, QINLOCK and prepare for multiple product launches planned over the next several years. This is a high-profile position that provides the opportunity to work with senior leadership across the organization.

The successful candidate will have experience in bio-pharmaceutical industry. S/he will possess strong leadership, management, and communication skills.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Corporate Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance partner to Commercial organization providing financial leadership, guidance and insight including; Revenue recognition and tracking against covering analysts, gross to net accounting and financial reporting of monthly/quarterly results of Commercial group Op Ex

Prepare and deliver key analysis and presentations to leadership and the Board.

Lead efforts to build the Company's capability to provide revenue guidance and report against such guidance by Day 3 of the close

Partner with Accounting and Commercial counterparts on all aspects of Revenue Reporting. Includes working with multiple data systems, reviewing sales orders to determine gross-to-net assumptions (government rebate programs, returns reserve and other adjustment to revenue).

Collaborate with Commercial functional areas on key strategic areas including pricing dynamics and contract administration.

Drive timely results to internal and external customers and partners

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on S&OP process to ensure alignment of sales plan resulting in an uninterrupted supply.

Identify and lead special projects and analysis that provide a strategic, financial, and analytical approach to decision making. Advocate for continuous improvement initiatives.

QualificationsAt least 12 years of relevant work experience.

Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical business including drug development and commercialization.

Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing "right-sized" processes.

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, including ability to develop strategic frameworks to facilitate decision making around complex opportunities.

Flexibility and ability to leverage ad hoc financial opportunities and innovative thinking to adapt to rapidly evolving situations and fulfill challenging timelines.

Strong analytical & financial modeling skills (product forecasts, P&L, NPV models, etc.).

Experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams, and ability to deliver on project timelines, progress, and outcomes in small company/startup environments.

Excellent communications skills, in writing and orally, including presentation to senior executives and board.

Strong technology skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
