Our private sector client, an established Ottawa personal injury law firm, is looking for a Law Clerk/Legal Assistant to join their team in a full-time hybrid role. If you have 3-5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Law Clerk, this is for you!Salary range: $55,000-$65,000About youTo excel in this role, you should have:3+ years of experience in litigation, legal assistance, or law clerk rolesA completed Law Clerk DiplomaExceptional verbal and written communication skillsA solid understanding of the Rules of Civil ProcedureProficiency with ACL Automated Civil Litigation softwareOutstanding organizational and multitasking abilitiesThe capacity to manage high volumes of documentation with meticulous attention to detailExcellent docketing and time management skillsAbout the roleAs the successful candidate, you will:Initiate the opening of new files for litigation and personal injury casesPerform conflict checks, which include researching potential conflicts and documenting the outcomesAct as the initial point of contact for clients, engaging with them to gather crucial information, provide updates, and address initial concernsUtilize NetDocuments to save, organize, and manage case-related documents and emailsHandle photocopying and binding tasks as requiredAssist with invoicing and maintain accurate records of billing activitiesDraft and prepare various reporting lettersNot quite ready to apply?
