The team draws from a breadth and depth of experience, with insights into the complexity of the energy industry from upstream, midstream, energy services and technology, energy transition and renewables sectors. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the transaction process and development of strategic business ideas.You will join a dynamic entrepreneurial team and have the opportunity to work with clients and senior management. You will assist in the execution of MA&D, Investment Banking  and other Equity and Financing mandates and will closely work with professionals across the firm to deliver high quality advice to our clients.Primary duties consist of, but are not limited to: Dynamic and multi-faceted role, supporting senior bankers on strategic advisory, MA&D transactions, equity and financing Providing technical and commercial evaluations of assets and corporates for the purposes of assessing MA&D opportunities and other investment banking initiatives Managing and executing sell-side disposition processes including client interactions, reserves and development models, bespoke marketing materials and VDR preparation Maintaining and developing databases and spreadsheets Conduct in-depth industry and company related research Developing presentation materials and strategic documents Primary responsibilities focused within upstream, midstream and services sectors with meaningful opportunity in the growing Energy Transition sector Role Qualifications/Requirements: A university degree with a focus on Geology (preferred), Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or Engineering MBA, CFA, CA, CPA and/or CBV is strongly desired Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) Knowledge of Bloomberg and Factset (or similar) is considered an asset Strong work ethic with an appreciation for schedule uncertainty Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to excellence Team oriented with the ability to work in an open and unstructured environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Prior upstream technical roles, A&D, investment banking, corporate development or capital markets experience is not required but is considered an asset At ATB, we know that as you develop in your career, you gain many transferable skills.
