Are you an experienced IT professional with a passion for solving technical challenges and providing exceptional support to users? If you have a minimum of 1 year of experience in IT support and possess a diverse skill set that includes expertise in backup solutions, Windows, Linux, Azure, and O365, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Position: IT Support Engineer Job Summary: As an IT Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's IT infrastructure and providing timely technical assistance to our users. You will be responsible for handling a wide range of IT-related tasks, troubleshooting issues, and implementing effective solutions to enhance the overall efficiency of our systems. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive IT support to end-users via various channels, including in-person, email, and phone.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement IT projects and upgrades.
  • Administer and maintain backup solutions to safeguard critical data and ensure data integrity.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Windows and Linux-based systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilize your expertise in Azure and O365 to support cloud-based applications and services.
  • Create and update technical documentation to streamline support processes.
  • Assist in maintaining IT security protocols and measures to protect sensitive information.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations as needed to address urgent IT incidents outside regular business hours.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT support or a related field.
  • Proficiency in backup solutions, with hands-on experience in data backup and recovery procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and cloud computing concepts.
  • Experience in supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • A team player with a customer-centric approach to IT support.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, or other relevant certifications would be a plus.
  • Experience in managing and supporting virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices.
