JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Job Function The position is responsible for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Demand and Supply Management, New Product Introduction (NPI), and implementation and use of the Statistical Forecasting tool to facilitate forecast accuracy. In addition, this position will also be a local representative of Sales Force Effectiveness processes and systems. Core Job Responsibilities Demand & supply planning
  • Responsible for strategic demand planning to maximize inventory turns, reduce scrap and to ensure a high quality forecast within Asia Pacific
  • Works closely with sales and marketing teams, regulatory, Global planners, and local supply chain teams striving to provide and accurate demand signal. Leads consolidated demand review meeting and challenge the assumptions and numbers provided by an analysis in order to solicit functional knowledge to improve forecast accuracy
  • Develops phase-in/out plans according to business plan to maximize launch success and minimize retirement scrap Keeps hand-off between APAC and Global and also perform country level S&OP with Global attendance (China, Japan, ANZ & India)
Intregrated Tactical Planning (ITP)
  • Monitors and manages the balance of Demand and Supply in short term 0-3 months.Collate Data, Analyse and Model
  • Manages the scenario planning processes for Abnormal Demands and provides timely feedback to Sales and Ops
  • Evaluates significant changes to the Demand Plan within the 0-3 month execution horizon to determine feasibility and overall impact.
  • Drives decision making to support customer service (OTIF-P) performance when demand materializes differently than planned
  • Determines volume to be rolled between periods and communicate
  • Ownership of weekly demand execution meeting
  • Consolidates commercial input on performance and future outlook to identify relevant or actionable trends (over/under bias).
  • Makes changes to short term demand and determines if change needs to escalated to Demand • Team for long term adjustments
  • Manages Allocation process (initiates and coordinates execution)
Intregrated Business Planning (IBP)
  • Drives focus on medium to long-term plans and delivering business strategy
  • Develops one set of numbers across strategic plan, financial plan, product plan, commercial demand plan, supply chain plan and external /internal capabilities.
  • Understands and reviews assumptions behind the plan and responding to opportunities and vulnerabilities to the plan
  • Understands any gaps top-down vs. latest bottom-up view Closes gaps and mitigate against risks Drives effective decision making early, so decisions are made in time to sustainably grow the business Drives best practice process and behaviors to deliver result Analyzes monthly performance, and interfacing with the Country Manager regarding Sales performance issues and communicate with APAC Finance/Operations/Commercial head as well as Regional Planning Manager and Global SH Planning
Inventory Control/ Field Inventory
  • Works with Finance, SCM, and country on inventory management responsibilities. Communicates implementation plans (and relevant changes) to countries consistent with regional marketing & integrated business plans Reviews safely stock and inventory level and drive follow up action with countries Monitors DOH and drive follow up action with countries
  • SH FIM + Cycle counting Field Inventory initiatives and strategies (phase in/out, par level, inventory targets, etc). Development of a business process to review with commercial teams. Prepares distress inventory analysis & EOL projections in order to reduce excess stock
Reporting / Continous Improvement
  • Launch tracking --> both sales conversion & consignment conversion, # accts opened, trunk stock dynamics, etc
  • Process Administrator --> Co-ordination and working closely with regional marketing
  • Facilitator of monthly reviews of projects and quality of NPI documents --> Coordinate monthly NPI reviews, take action points and release the minutes, owner of NPI S&OP List and update as per the latest situation.
  • Expert on Local and Global NPI Process and Tool --> Go-To person for all queries and affiliate training needs.
  • Liaison between Affiliate, Area, Supply Chain Planning --> Ensure that new products are set up timely, ADS provided accurately, inform affiliate if there are any changes in NPI as informed by Division/Area/Supply Chain
  • Setup KPI and monitor performance by BU & Country to support Financial goals
  • Provides system training about planning to new planenrs
  • Host refresher trainings ro all country planners
  • Regular review on planning parameters setup in the system
Requirements
  • University degree preferably in Business / Finance / Accounting / Logistics Management / Supply Chain 
  • 7- 10 years of relevant experience in a US / European MNC environment
  • Strong background in planning, regional work, project management
  • Strong background in analysis & modelling and IT systems
  • Demand Management Experience – preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Problem solver & Responsive
