SAP Release Management Consultant

We are looking for SAP - Release Management Consultant who wants to learn and transform his career. In this role you will:

• Manage technical deployment of releases through environments and provide inputs into release schedules in terms required for steps and time required in the release deployment. The Release Manager. should work with the Project Manager(s) on this.
• Responsible for source control/repository process set-up and ensure it is followed properly.
• Ensures automations are configured (for example Jenkins) to deploy source code from control/repository to the correct environments.
• Responsible for the environment strategy, how they interact and connect and interact with other systems. It should be documented in a central location (Confluence or SharePoint) for future updates.
• Maintains, aligns source control branching and Continuous Integration to J&J standards and best practices. Ensures continuous improvement of processes, practices and standards
• Make sure correct people are notified of deployment conflicts (ideally via automation), and be the go-to person for GIT and Jenkins advanced troubleshooting, or other environment issues related to a deployment
• Checks each deployment to ensure quality, including all code passing the quality stage gate, i.e. ensuring passing Sonarqube Quality Gate metric before a Production release.
• Review and approve technical deployment checklist, ensuring its executed. Ensures that all manual changes are documented in a central location (Confluence or SharePoint), and works with the development team to ensure its accurate for each release.
• Depending upon size, execute manual deployment steps (maybe a dedicated System Admin Role when needed)
• Physically set up all the Managed and Non-Managed environments, and works with the Project Team to refresh on a agreed upon schedule.
• Sets up the meeting for Production deployment, and invites all those required to perform the upgrade, and smoke test once completed.
• No changes should be made to any Managed environment without including the Release Manager and getting his/her approval.

Ideal if you have:

• Advanced to Fluent English (Global Team)
• ABAP or Basis experience.
• Exposure to TEAP report execution and Coordination with functional and Technical team for conflict resolution.
• Hosting CAB meeting every day.
• Hosting Production release review calls twice in a week.
• Coordination with Basis for Prod moves.
• Coordination with SolMan functional team for config changes for any new requirements.
• Confluence page updates on any process change wrt Change and Release management team.
• SolMan Trainings/provide guidance for any technical issues.
• Monthly CR/CO reconciliation reports.
• Emergency prod releases.
