As a Spatial Data Engineer II, you will work collaboratively with various functional teams to develop proof of concepts, minimum viable products, and fully deployable solutions. In this role, you will create complex data traceability and optimization models that help deliver significant value to our businesses and functions. Furthermore, you will:
- Design and support to deploy standardized metadata and data lineage models in a Data Mesh ecosystem.
- Work with engineers on the team to build an autonomous process to support our model’s needs.
- Provide requirements to build UI and visualization tools for the most critical business questions around ETLs and products in HERE.
- Scale the models globally.
- Help Setup dashboards to measure models’ performance.
- Troubleshoot and refit existing models as they continue to experience model drift.
- Effectively interact with both internal and external customer executives, technical and non-technical to explain various use cases and how to deploy predictive systems and techniques.
- 3+ years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and related work experience. Certification desired.
- Mastery of GIS Data engineering tools and processes
- Knowledge of data mining and analytic methods.
- Demonstrated experience with ArcGIS & FME, or similar spatial tools.
- Good knowledge of using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), code collaboration tools (e.g., Git/GitLab) and team collaboration tools (e.g., Confluence/Wiki).
- Knowledge of data mining and analytic methods.
- Strongly preferred familiarity with programming and scripting (SQL, Python), and ability to learn other tools and programming languages.
- Understanding and ability to write into formats such as Oracle, GeoJSON, LRP, FGDB .
- Ability to customize solutions outside of off-the-shelf tools and solve very complex data problems.
