Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and policies to ensure the organization's financial health and long-term sustainability.
  • Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the budgeting process, collaborating with various departments to establish and manage financial goals and objectives.
  • Monitor budget performance and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  • Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Implement and manage effective internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and financial integrity.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including board meetings.
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity, ensuring the organization has adequate funds to meet its operational and strategic needs.
  • Optimize working capital and manage capital expenditures.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop pricing strategies that consider the cost structure of textile production while remaining competitive in the market.
  • Monitor currency fluctuations and trade risks, especially if the organization engages in international trade for the procurement of raw materials or export of finished goods.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and standards.
  • Provide financial insights and advice to the executive team to support strategic decision-making.
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
  • Evaluate and implement financial management systems and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Stay informed about market trends in the textile industry and provide financial insights for strategic decision-making based on market forecasts.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
  • Chartered Accountant with post-qualification experience of 10-12 years
  • Experience of working with Big 4 firms or large-scale organizations will be a plus
  • Good communication and presentation skills
