The Opportunity: 

We are seeking an enthusiastic part-time Junior Copywriter / Content Writer to join our Marketing Team in our Head Office in Ikoyi, Lagos. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role presents a brilliant opportunity to return to work on a more flexible schedule, and improve your copy writing skills by promoting a fast-growing global brand.

You'll have some copywriting experience, and be enthusiastic, creative (of course) and have a passion to help write for brands.

Working on campaigns and materials for print and online, you'll have experience of writing for brands and demonstrable ability to write for a broad range of audiences. You'll also have the ability to present creative concepts and solutions to a high standard. And you'll have your finger on the pulse of current copywriting and marketing trends.

The Role:

As an SEO Content Writer, you would be accountable for:

• Write, post, edit and maintain SEO Friendly content on our website by using the WordPress platform (including blogs)
• Follow direction from our digital team and Senior SEO marketing manager on site map & page creation 
• Liaise with our internal experts and international territories to agree on topics 
• Monitor and interpret SEO data to build effective content 
• Proof-read of web content/articles from the mobility industry
• Optimise current and new website copy (page titles, meta descriptions, h1s, alts, anchor text, etc.) 
• Press release and blog writing for content outreach and link building 
• Create original pieces of high-quality written content, including blogs, press releases, newspaper and magazine features
• Conduct regular research using supporting material and online and offline information to brainstorm and develop content ideas
• Build a content calendar and create and continuously improve a unique Content Strategy with original content ideas across a range of topics including: Aerospace & Aviation, Formula One and Automotive, Engineering & Defence, Marine, Work and Recruitment
• Plan, edit, proofread and post content on our website and social channels 
• Work directly with the sales team to generate ideas for content that will appeal to and engage each market 
• Report and develop insights on content performance using Google Analytics, WordPress and social media channels to analyse the impact and ROI of all types of content and continually improve content performance 
• Continuously improve website traffic by using keywords and best practice Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) processes in every piece of written content 

Candidate Requirements:

• University Degree or 2 years' relevant work experience
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office & Word 
• Hard working, quick learning and able to work accurately and to deadlines 
• Self-motivated, creative and able to work in a team 
• Excellent written communication skills, with an interest and/or experience in copy writing and content creation 
• The ability to talk confidently to and work with professionals

Nice to haves:

• Experience working on content for the travel and/or relocation industry
• A working knowledge of International SEO and how it applies to content marketing.
•  Basic knowledge of HTML appreciated but not essential 
• Familiarity with WordPress and experience using SEO tools: All-in-one SEO, Yoast etc

Skills & Experience:

• Degree educated with a minimum of two year's copy writing experience
