SR. FOREMAN (TRANSPORTATION)
Primary purpose of job
Coordinate light vehicle fleet operation, which includes allocation/retrieval of vehicles in response to the vehicle allocation/withdrawal plans, specific requisitions from various departments and maintenance programs.
Ensures set up of all individual vehicle files and allocates fleet numbers, ensuring that the Vehicle Checklist, Delivery Receipt (from Contractor), Registration Paper and Insurance Cover are in order; maintains vehicle file by inserting all documents pertaining to the vehicle.
Enter vehicle data and prepares maintenance plan and schedule for hired land vehicles through in to the Fleet Management System/SAP Modules and updates the same regularly. Also, Plan schedule and coordinate Qatar Petroleum provided transport services to the employees with various services, monitors monthly inspection and preventive maintenance of hired vehicles and provides operational feed back to the Senior Transport Supervisor on daily basis for incorporate to the next day schedule.
Prepare Scope of Work for additional transport requirements and contract renewal. Release Order and Service Entry Sheets in the SAP System. Attend customer complaints and solve the problem arises during the operation. Supervise all transport services including additional transportation requirements for management visits.
Higher Secondary [12 years] education
Experience & Skills
8 years experience in all areas of Transport Administration [Budget, Contracts, Personnel Administration, Vehicle Maintenance, Fleet Management System, Invoicing Procedures etc.]. Works according to general instructions and established procedures, has adequate knowledge of all safety and security aspects of vehicle maintenance, uses own initiative to instigate workload, expected to generate own ideas concerning work and work improvements, be able to express his views to Senior Staff and management and give tangible solutions to problems
