Title
ELECT/MECH ENGINEER (DOHA)

Primary Purpose of Job
1. Conducts feasibility studies of various routine, non-routine, preventative and call off Electrical / Mechanical maintenance/refurbishment work. Derives best strategies, coordinates, discusses with Supervisors and User Departments. 2. Directs / ensure day-to-day, periodic, scheduled and preventive maintenance of Electrical / Mechanical equipment in accordance with Contracts and take remedial actions.3. Supervises the activities of subordinates in the Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance Section and the Contractors workforce. Provides technical assistance and direction to subordinates for handling non-routine works and/or situations involving high costs to QP's best advantage. For this purpose, ROs exceeding an estimated cost of QAR 25000/- shall be routed to Lead Electrical / Mechanical Engineer for review and approval. Other ROs shall be processed at the level of Senior Electrical / Mechanical Engineer.4. Checks/controls workmanship and quality of work carried out by Contractor's with regular inspections and issues necessary instructions to subordinates whenever required.5. Receive Services Works / Requests Notification and Work Orders / ROs and SES in SAP on daily basis for Division to provide services to end-user's, review such requirements assess scopes/feasibility approve within authority.

Education
• Bachelor Degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering with good communication and computer skills.

Experience & Skills
• 10 years experience in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance work out of which at least 5 years in a Senior position as Electrical Engineer dealing with costs, budgets and contracts and familiar with preparation of tender specifications, associated standards pertaining to local and international regulations. Experience of construction / maintenance works in GCC / Qatar and familiarity with works in oil and gas sector is desirable.
