Senior System Engineer

Cairo- Automotive- FULL TIMEJob descriptionAs a senior system engineer you are expected to be working at one or more parts of the system V-cycle. This may include receiving customer requirements, writing the system requirements, developing a system architecture, designing test cases for system validation and verification. You are expected to work closely with various team members including, software, hardware, and customer engineers at all levels.**Responsibilities**:- Design and implementation of control algorithms using Matlab Simulink.- Code generation for production intent software.- Develop system diagnostics and CAN communication specifications- Create validation tests for electrical test bench, HiL, and vehicle- Implement functional safety requirements.- Analyze and capture customer requirements.- Provide expertise for investigations and problem-solving activities.- Develop and perform system design validation testing plan.- Develop and support the system and hardware FMEA.- Guide and mentor systems engineers and peers.**Skills**:- To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:**Mandatory**- 5-year experience in automotive industry or equivalent.- Proven experience in developing real-time embedded systems.- Proficiency in Matlab Simulink and Model Based Programming.- Use of calibration tools (e.g., INCA,etc).**Personal Skills**- Self-motivated and flexibility.- Excellent communication skills.- Team-oriented with great attention to detail.- Ability to meet deadlines.- Prioritization and organizational skills.- Respect of diversity and equal opportunity.- Excellent in English**Desirable** Experience in electric drive system components, OBC, ECUs and power distribution. Understanding of sensors, actuators, and protocols (CAN, UDS, J1939). Familiarity with CAN tools (e.g., Vector toolchain) and activity management tools (e.g., Jira). Understanding of C language in source code. Understanding the electric drive system components, OBC, ECUs and power distribution. Previous knowledge with ASPICE, Functional Safety, Cyber Security, V-model, HW and SW. Previous knowledge with ALM-Tools, system architecture tools, and model-based development tools.
