Using our platforms, thousands of businesses have access to a wholesale listing from hundreds of suppliers at convenient cost and service.We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions and to supervise a small team of accountancy staff providing full accounting services for a profit centerSenior Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.**Responsibilities**:- Supervise accountancy staff to ensure that they are appropriately trained and motivated and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.- Provide full accounting services, including the preparation of estimates, budgetary control, and final accounts for a cost center.- Prepare monthly trading accounts for cost center activities to ensure that financial targets are met and to assess the need for any remedial action.- Develop and maintain all other necessary controls and processes to ensure that legal and financial requirements and regulations are complied with.- Monitor the financial information system to ensure that timely and accurate information is provided for managerial decision-making.- Prepare statistical returns and financial analysis on a range of topics for internal and external use.- Oversee the administration of any loans and repayments, including maintaining liaison with brokers and lenders.- Prepare and monitor cash flow projections and associated records to determine the optimum use of funds or the need to raise additional revenue.**Requirements**:- BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant- 5 - 8 years of Proven Experience as an Accountant or Financial Controller in wholesale distribution industry.- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)- Familiarity with financial accounting statements- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process- Strong financial analysis skills.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.- Ability to train and manage staff.- Strong organizational and stress management skills.- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.- Very good command of both written and spoken English
