Become a member of our collaborative and supportive work environment and help us drive innovation!**Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?**:- As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for the PS design and scoping of medium-to-complex migrations leveraging transformational solutions for our customers. The role will require you to understand the products, frameworks, and design patterns used for VMware solutions. You will be asked to contribute to these frameworks & develop reusable domain solutions while focusing on the Virtual Cloud Networking aspects of the solution.- Additionally, you will mentor internal & external stakeholders on the use of the tools and help peers and mentees ramp up their knowledge of VCN technology and its associated skills and certification tracks.- To effectively build solutions to solve for complex business problems it will be important to build a strong network among your peers and internal & external teams and massively contribute in geo-aligned technical forums and lead technical enablement communities.be able to translate this to desired business outcomes and the IT solutions which underpin them- Within 45 days of employment, you will successfully develop and maintain customer design documents, migration plans and customer environment discovery documents.- Within 60 days of employment, you will start to collaborate on Tech-community enablement activities and pre-sales activities alongside the Sales and Solutioning teams to help them scope, scale and land Migration Center opportunities.**What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?**:- Author blogs, technical articles and white papers based on experiences- Provide lessons learned feedback to Services Sales, Delivery Management and Engineering based on customer feedback.- Creates artefacts and manages collaboration with PS Engineering.- Adhere to VMware PS sales process and methodologies on all opportunity pursuits.- Acquire mastery of necessary Sales and Project Execution tooling including PS Solution Builder, HCX, Device42, vRNI, Transition Manager.- Maintain proficiency in VMware service offerings, value propositions, and representative case studies.- Support Field enablement of Client Solution Executives (PS Client Sales Execs), CSAs, inside Client Sales Execs and iCSAs on everything related to GMC technologies, use cases and tool chains as well as opportunity identification.- Mentoring of peers and Senior Technology Consultants as appropriate.- Participate in internal enablement and community discussions around emerging technologies.- Working with PS Client Sales Execs help to scrub franchise specific forecasts to provide the best possible view for the business.- Confidently gather use case requirements and solution designs while functioning as an advocate for "Best Practices" and driving adoption of VMware solutions.- Ensure the solution being delivered is fit for purpose, referencing the initial business goals and objectives of the project through strong governance - Maintain up to date high-level technical knowledge of the VMware product line and future product direction and expert level knowledge of your specialist domains.Develop and provides detailed end-to-end migration "roadmap" to business units.Create the Go/No-Go document and facilitate the Go/No-Go meeting.Assist with documenting issues in the Issues Log.- Contribute in the documenting of Lessons Learned and lead the Lessons Learned review with the client.- Typically, experience in delivering engagements under PRINCE2, PMP or TOGAF frameworks is fundamental as well as understanding of the ITIL framework.- Experience of presenting at a user group, trade show or similar is highly desirable.Experience in conducting workshops, preparing migration strategy, migration plans, runbooks, status reports.- Strong stakeholder management skills - negotiation skills.- Good articulation and communication skills in both verbal and written contexts.- VCN (NSX, VCD) as well as multi-cloud knowledge is mandatory.- Experience around NSX V2T migrations is mandatory.- VCP/VCAP Network Virtualization are mandatory.
