Add expected salary to your profile for insights About the role Plastec Australia is expanding to include a new distribution centre in NSW. We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our dynamic team to assist with establishing our new facility at Jilliby on the Central Coast. In this exciting full-time role, you will be responsible for assisting with the initial set up operation of our newly established warehouse, supervising staff and overseeing the efficient and effective management and ensuring smooth and timely delivery of goods to our customers. What you'll be doing
- Manage and supervise the warehouse team, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing feedback and training
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of containers and inventory, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all policies and procedures
- Implement and maintain efficient warehouse management systems and processes to optimise workflow and productivity
- Liaise with the logistics and transportation teams to coordinate the timely dispatch of goods
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement
- Ensure the warehouse environment is safe, well-organised, and compliant with all relevant health and safety regulations
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse supervisor or similar role within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and other relevant software
- Thorough understanding of inventory management, logistics, and supply chain processes
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across different teams
