Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components. Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence. You will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts. Responsibilities About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Fab Finance Controller with a strong background in semiconductor fab construction, ramp-up, and high-volume manufacturing. This role will oversee financial planning, cost control, and capital investment management for a new or expanding semiconductor fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will have expertise in fab operations finance, CAPEX management, project finance, and cost accounting. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for Fab Construction & Ramp-Up
- Develop and manage financial models for fab construction, ramp-up, and production scaling.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for construction and transition to high-volume manufacturing.
- Provide variance analysis and cost-saving recommendations for fab build-out and operations.
- Oversee capital expenditure planning, allocation, and reporting for fab infrastructure, equipment, and technology upgrades.
- Conduct ROI analysis, depreciation modelling, and cash flow forecasting for large-scale fab investments.
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to optimize capital investments.
- Drive Cost Reductions: Relentless focus on costs by setting targets, rigorous monitoring and partnering with operations to continuously drive cost reductions through focus on wafer cost, yield analysis, equipment utilization, and production efficiency.
- Implement and manage cost accounting systems for fab construction and ramp-up phases.
- Be the finance business partner to construction, fab operations, and supply chain teams.
- Provide financial insights on risk assessment, cost optimization, and fab efficiency improvements.
- Support vendor negotiations, equipment financing strategies, and procurement cost control.
- Establish financial governance for fab construction, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
- Collaborate with supply chain, real estate, and contractors to manage cost efficiency in fab construction.
- Monitor and report on project milestones, spending trends, and cost overruns during ramp-up.
- Ensure compliance with appropriate financial policies.
- Implement strong internal controls to manage capital projects and operational expenses.
- Lead audit preparation and regulatory compliance reviews for fab-related financials.
- Ability to develop, manage, mentor, and lead a team of highly motivated professionals.

- Experience as a Fab Finance Controller for a new or expanding semiconductor fab.
- Strong expertise in CAPEX planning, project finance, cost accounting, and operational ramp-up.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, yield management, and capacity planning.
- Expertise in financial modelling for semiconductor projects and operational scaling.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems for financial reporting and cost analysis.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
