Partner with the best As a Materials Planner, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling the materials required to execute the business. You will work with supply chain to translate the demand into physical orders and ensure they are delivered to meet customer requirements. You will also be responsible for Material Data Management (MDM) and managing inventory parts. As a Materials Planner, You Will Be Responsible For:
- Analyzing incoming demand: identifying order exceptions, misalignment with product rationalization strategy, and opportunities to utilize existing inventory.
- Planning and scheduling material timelines to be consistent with customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs.
- Managing MRP to ensure the proper material availability for execution plans.
- Working with the Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery to prioritize delivery dates as needed (push-outs, pull-ins).
- Performing various material management analyses such as statistical material consumption and forecasts, aged inventory, aged PO, in-transit material analysis, safety stock, etc.
- Implementing inventory stocking strategies.
- Monitoring levels of safety stock, global and aging inventory, and working with regions and manufacturing plants to address accordingly.
- Ensuring proper data management processes in ERP.
- Collaborating with different functions to validate item attributes.
- Ensuring proper migration/interface of BOMs (Oracle, team center).
- Fixing any issues related to data integrity in MRP that can affect proper planning and scheduling execution.
- Providing updates to inventory projections and creating mitigation plans as needed.
- Reviewing Slow Moving Inventory (SMI) with regions and involving other functional groups to reduce SMI risks.
- Forecasting inventory reserves and creating action plans for mitigation.
- Working with the demand planner to create the netted demand plan.
- Working with the supply planner to implement stocking strategies for local providers.
- Working with regions to phase in new product inventory and develop plans for effectively managing replaced inventory.
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain and manufacturing.
- Have experience in order management, inventory optimization and management, asset utilization, and management.
- Have intermediate knowledge of SAP and MRP functionality.
- Have the ability to work with and influence stakeholders.
- Have strategic thinking with tactical execution and a sense of urgency.
