The HR Operations Officer is primarily responsible for the smooth onboarding of new employees, ensuring accurate payroll processing, managing the renewal of residency permits for foreign workers, arranging vacations, administering benefits, answering benefits-related inquiries, and creating a positive employee relations environment. Key Accountabilities:

  1. Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process, including conducting orientation sessions and completing all necessary paperwork accurately. Coordinate with various departments to ensure all necessary equipment, system access, and materials are provided to new employees in a timely manner.
  2. Payroll Processing: Accurately process and update employee payroll information, including new hires, terminations, leaves, overtime, and other relevant changes. Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll regulations and standards.
  3. Residency Permits and Visa Management: Ensure the smooth process of residency permit renewals for foreign workers and assist with visa applications as required. Keep updated records and liaise with appropriate government authorities to facilitate the documentation procedure.
  4. Vacation and Time-Off Management: Coordinate and approve employee vacation requests, maintaining appropriate staffing levels. Collaborate with department managers to create and implement a fair vacation scheduling process.
  5. Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and other related offerings. Educate employees on available benefits and respond to any inquiries or concerns related to eligibility, coverage, and claims.
  6. Benefits Inquiry Support: Provide prompt assistance and guidance to employees regarding benefits-related questions or concerns. Liaise with benefits providers or third-party administrators to resolve any issues effectively.
  7. Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by actively engaging with employees, addressing concerns, and providing guidance to resolve workplace conflicts or issues. Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws and escalate any complex employee relations matters to the appropriate channels.
Qualifications, Competencies and Experience:
  1. Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or a related field.
  2. Holding a professionally recognized certification is preferable such as SHRM-CP or CIPD.
  3. Minimum 5 years of experience in HR operations or related roles within internal combustion, marine, and/or power generation engines and equipment.
