Develop and review specifications, datasheets, and technical reports for rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, etc.). Perform equipment selection, sizing, and optimization for various project requirements. Conduct technical evaluations and participate in vendor selection for rotating machinery. Provide technical design and engineering services in rotating equipment engineering for all assigned engineering projects, achieving the technical quality of work in accordance with client procedures, whilst considering quality, schedule, cost, and HSE. Conduct rotating equipment engineering activities and in-house site surveys for projects, from the initial concept definition phase through to engineering studies, feed, detailed design, and commissioning. Review and approve method statements developed by contracted organizations for scope compliance.

Project Execution & Support:

Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from FEED to detailed engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless integration of rotating equipment. Review vendor documents, including drawings, calculations, and test reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Ensure the required technical assurance practices, engineering standards, and environmental and safety policies are incorporated and followed in work scopes while conducting rotating equipment engineering activities. Review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards, and practices. Support the engineering department to review, update, and apply client standards and client amendments to external standards. Coordinate engineering designs, develop and review multi-disciplinary work scopes for projects and other engineering activities ensuring the work scope is comprehensive and clear. Liaise with contracted organizations to resolve technical issues. Develop, update, and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities, contribute to external FEED/EPC scheduling activities, and effective project delivery. Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance. Review and evaluate the contract changes/variations to approved guidelines and practices. Support the development of personal technical competency and skills and those of co-workers who participate in structured training for associate engineers. Plan and coordinate activities of a team of multi-discipline engineers to provide timely delivery of technical services to meet the project requirements.

Compliance & Standards:

Ensure designs adhere to applicable codes and standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, and client-specific requirements. Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and other safety and risk assessments for rotating equipment. Support quality assurance and technical audits as required.

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Chartered/professional engineer status or equivalent is preferable. Minimum 10 years of relevant post-graduate experience in the oil & gas industry, of which 6 years should be in rotating equipment engineering. Ability to identify and utilize relevant engineering standards and codes related to rotating equipment engineering. Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality in engineering projects within a multiple-project environment. Fluency in English with good verbal and writing communication skills and proficiency in conducting presentations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
