Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies for various construction projects.
Identify and source suppliers and vendors for construction materials, equipment, and services.
Review project requirements and specifications to ensure alignment with procurement needs.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value.
Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable service.
Monitor market trends and evaluate potential new suppliers.
Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE procurement regulations.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to resolve procurement-related issues.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry, with at least 6 years in the UAE.
- Proven track record of managing procurement for large-scale projects.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, and market rates in the UAE.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, MS Excel).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple procurement activities.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
