Purpose of the job The role will support a busy finance team in completing monthly information for multiple group companies. You will need to provide accurate and timely information on a monthly basis to a variety of stakeholders within the finance community. Key Responsibilities
- Team management & development; including objective setting, performance management and appraisals
- Manage relevant creditor accounts with an understanding of all credits on the GL system
- Reduce creditor days and manage write off process
- Ensure working instructions are completed by the team for each task/process and ensure sufficient cover is in place across the department
- Make recommendations for process improvements on a continual basis
- Supervise posting of approved purchase invoices and expenses
- Check and approve weekly and monthly payment runs
- Check and provide commentary for creditor balance sheet reconciliations
- Produce a monthly timetable for the processing team
- Advise system administrators of any issues, and help resolve where possible
- Other ad hoc tasks requested by financial managers
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Accountancy knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of SAP would be a bonus
- Understanding and have practical experience of financial, operational and business processes
- Ability to work proactively, positively, efficiently and effectively
- Ability to build strong working relationships with other business teams
- Ability to make things happen can do/will do attitude
- Ability to drive and motivate a team to success
- Organised, calm and capable under pressure
