DGF UAE has an opening for Operations Planning Assistant . You will manage all warehouse operations and logistics related planning and administration jobs related to outbound & inbound operations activities, repack, packing material supplies, and outbound logistics operations to ensure that shipments are ready to be dispatched as per business plan. Handle system issues in SAP and WMS in coordination with Internal and External IT/other departments. This position acts as a member of the Warehouse Operations & Logistics Planning team who is the backbone for warehouse operations and takes several decisions daily to ensure that operations and outbound logistics function smoothly for maximum customer satisfaction. In this Operations Planning Assistant role, you will: Key Tasks
- Planning daily outbound, inbound, and Country of origin printing shift operations based on outbound/inbound/logistics requirements.
- Allocation and shipment creation in WMS as per the shift operations plan.
- Ensure all pick labels / put away labels of normal, priority & exception shipments are ready well before the shift starts.
- Manage and decide shipments based on exception orders in WMS and SAP as per regulatory and logistics requirements.
- Follow up with WH Operations team to finish pick/pack as per invoicing plan for both VOR, Supplementary orders, and stock orders.
- Prepare DG documentation as per requirements.
- Invoicing all OB shipments in SAP/WMS on time, based on transport and revenue recognition requirements. Manage SAP / WMS issues related to invoicing.
- Ensure ASN’s labels are printed and required fields are updated in WMS to make sure inbound operation is running without interruption.
- Communicate and respond to queries related to outbound shipment processing and logistics status from other departments in GM and logistics team.
- Management reporting - ensure that all management reports, shipments and logistics reports and all reports related to inbound are maintained as per requirement.
- Prepare and publish daily operations report and all other management reports.
- Proper planning of COO printing and ensuring that the shipments are ready for dispatch as per business plan which is vital for 60% of the business. Coordinate with operations team, COO printing and logistics service provider’s team to ensure that the shipments are dispatched on time.
- Track outbound shipments with respective LSP and monitor performance.
- Planning and prioritizing of inbound air and sea shipments processing by WH operations as per business requirement.
- Plan inbound container pulling as per container pulling priority to avoid port demurrage.
- Plan outbound logistics to maximize truck volume utilization of outbound trucks.
- Plan and schedule appropriate modes of transportation based on daily operational planning.
- Maintain courteous, prompt, and efficient customer relationships - internal and external.
- Analyze service failures/issues and implement performance improvement processes to enhance future service delivery.
- Address 3PL issues to Outbound/Inbound Supervisors, document issues and track them.
- Sample verification of shipment (e.g., comparing LSP delivery report versus Facility shipment tracking).
- Monitor Outbound/Inbound logistics KPIs.
- Explain, train, and coach facts, policies and practices related to job area.
- Support and interact primarily with colleagues of own sub-function.
- Work toward the organizational goals with the team.
- Individual contributor without direct responsibility for leading others.
- Bachelor’s Degree / MBA with exposure to logistics industry or equivalent experience/qualification, proficient in MS Excel.
- Less than 2 years / fresh graduate with good academic background + proficient in MS Excel.
