- Servicing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Alfa Laval products.
- Reading & interpreting engineering drawings, manuals, exploded diagrams & P&ID drawings.
- Troubleshooting, investigating and resolving technical problems with deep application and deep product knowledge at customers site or remotely.
- Undertaking field service jobs both locally and within the cluster.
- Training customers on the features of products they have purchased.
- Preparation of the service job to execute/resolve at the shortest possible time.
- Following up on actions and promises made to customers.
- Writing advanced (external/internal) service report on site and getting it signed by the customer.
- Updating service execution IT system with relevant information.
- Reporting unsafe practices, incidents and work for continuous improvement.
- Capturing Installed Base on site and communicating sales opportunities to sales organization.
- Proactive service advice to customers relating to the 360 service portfolio.
- Communicating product related change notifications (Service Bulletins).
- Training and supporting Field Service Engineers and other employees.
- Supervising and overseeing service jobs within your scope of expertise.
- Mechanical fundamentals
- Proven experience working as a Fitter, Fitter Machinist or Mechanical Engineer
- Experience with high-speed separators and Decanter centrifuge machines.
- Experience in Marine, Brewing, Wastewater, Rendering.
- You will require a full driving license.
- Strong English language and writing skills.
- Strong digital skills – Word, Excel, Lotus Notes.
- Forklift license (preferable, not essential)
- Rigger ticket (preferable, not essential)
