Job details
Responsible for architecting solutions that will achieve customer business outcomes either across the company portfolio in combination with all necessary third-party components (e.g. software and integration). Develops and articulates compelling, accurate, and relevant proposals and ensures customers' business and technical requirements are met. Prepare, negotiate and enhance the bill of material based on customer needs and products' best practices.
- The Solution Architect is accountable for advising and coordinating with the Sales team on all technical issues related but not limited to technical IT services, infrastructure, and professional services as well as annuity management.
- S/He is a technical expert building strong relationships with partners/customers and driving the business through multiple technical initiatives while leading the department towards the achievement of set objectives.
- Act as a subject matter expert in technical/solutions design of assigned product portfolio.
- Work with the Sales team to develop and implement specific account penetration strategies.
- Create specific accounts for product(s), service(s), and sales plans.
- Collaborate with the Sales team in qualifying opportunities, supporting and advising on the technical aspect of the sales lifecycle including technical qualification solution.
- Design presentation of solution proposals and high-level designs and demonstrations.
- Run, manage, and drive proof of concepts (POC) and request for proposals (RFP) and close opportunities from a presale perspective.
- Build sound relationships with partners and customers in support of sales objectives.
- Engage personnel and leverage corporate resources and budgets as appropriate.
- Lead technical sales calls.
- Identify customers' queries and problems, attend to their needs and map requirements with existing solutions.
- Create training contents for internal and external customers when and if necessary.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports and review performance with the concerned management team.
- Lead and coach the team cultivating empowerment and ownership.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, oversee development plans, and maintain required certifications for Vendor exhibit.
- Translates outcome-based solutions into a functional solution design that aligns to the customers' business needs and then translates that functional design into a technical design and architecture that can be scaled to accommodate growth.
- Compute & Virtualization: VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, Dell VxRail.
- Storage: SAN, NAS, Object Storage (NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, Pure Storage, Hitachi, etc.), SAN Networking.
- Backup & DR: Commvault, Cohesity/Veritas, NetBackup, Veeam, Rubrik, Zerto.
- Networking: Understanding of LAN/WAN, FC, iSCSI, NVMe over Fabric.
- Cloud & Hybrid IT: Knowledge with Azure, AWS, Google Cloud in backup/DR use cases.
- Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Desired: Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field to provide a stronger foundation in business and technology integration.
- At least 3 years of experience in solution architecture or a related field.
- 5 years of substantial experience in presales solution design or a technical consulting role within the technology sector.
- Proven track record in developing technical solutions that align with business objectives.
- Extensive experience in managing full lifecycle technology deployments including requirement analysis, platform selection, technical architecture design, application design and development, testing, and deployment.
