One of our long-standing clients is a leading Tier 1 satellite communications company. Due to their continued success, they are significantly expanding their teams in Chennai, with plans to hire over 400 new employees. Ovyo is proud to be partnering with them to manage this recruitment drive and hire candidates directly to the client. About the role: Our client is looking for Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test strategies to ensure the highest quality in our products and systems. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance product quality. Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test cases for HbbTV applications to ensure compliance with HbbTV standards
- Test DRM implementations
- Validate the integration of DRM systems with various content delivery platforms
- Identify and document DRM-related issues
- Create and execute test plans to validate OIPF compliance
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage for HbbTV, DRM, and OIPF systems.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated tests into the development workflow.
- Provide regular status updates to the QA Manager
- 5+ years of experience in Automation QA testing using Python - focusing on HbbTV, DRM systems, and OIPF-compliant platforms is a bonus to have.
- Expertise with HbbTV standards (HbbTV 2.0+), DRM technologies (e.g., Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay), and OIPF specifications.
- Expertise in DRM systems like Nagra, PlayReady, and Widevine.
- Understanding of OTT streaming technologies, MPEG-DASH, and content protection mechanisms.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems such as Git.
- Proficient in test automation tools and scripting languages (TypeScript and Python.)
- Proficient in ReactJS, Preact, and React Native.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA.
