Job Title: UX Developer – Construction Tech Location: Remote Job Type: Full-time/Contract Experience Level: 5+ years About Us We are building an innovative application that will transform the construction industry , improving efficiency, collaboration, and workflows for construction professionals. As we scale, we are looking for an experienced UX Developer who can translate complex industry requirements into intuitive, user-friendly designs. Role Overview As a UX Developer , you will work closely with product managers, engineers, and industry experts to design seamless user experiences. Your primary focus will be on researching user needs, creating wireframes, and developing interactive prototypes in Figma . If you have experience implementing designs in React , it will be a plus, but it is not a strict requirement . Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine user requirements .
- Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI using Figma .
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis to improve designs.
- Work closely with developers to ensure smooth handoff and accurate implementation of designs.
- Optimize designs for performance, accessibility (WCAG), and responsiveness .
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in construction technology UX .
- If you have React/TypeScript experience, you may also contribute by developing UI components based on your designs.
- Familiarity with component-driven design systems is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in UX design with a strong portfolio.
- Proficiency in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and design systems.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design, accessibility, and usability principles .
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing .
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, PMs, and stakeholders).
- Experience designing for construction, logistics, or field-heavy industries is a plus.
- Knowledge of React, TailwindCSS, and TypeScript for UI implementation.
- Experience with GIS/mapping UI, dashboards, or real-time data visualization .
- Understanding of offline-first and mobile-friendly UX for field users.
- Familiarity with Storybook, Radix UI, or other design component libraries .
