Senior Accountant

Well established CPA firm in US  is looking for a  hands-on full time Senior Accountant who can work remote from home in India on US Time zone (10 AM EST to 6 PM EST Monday to Friday). Candidate Profile: · Minimum 5 - 6 years of US Accounting, US Payroll experience · Candidate should have IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE of day-to-day accounting and be able to advise and direct the accounting staff based on client’s needs · The candidate should have manager-level experience in working with US-based clients and resolve any issues that the client has in accounting or payroll. · Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks desktop, QuickBooks online software is mandatory. · Only Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai based candidates will be considered.  Please don’t apply if you don’t live in these cities. Job Responsibilities: 1. Review client Financials and work with accounting staff and the clients to resolve any issues. 2. Payroll registration and processing experience. Should have in-depth knowledge of payroll regulations in various states. 3. Work with senior management to develop processes and systems that are scalable and practical to adopt. 4. Implement processes and systems as may be required at client locations and ensure the accounting team understands their responsibilities and deliverables. 5. Training and evaluating the staff members on a periodic basis to ensure they follow the processes consistently and the quality of work is not affected. 6. Proactively resolve any issues either with the client or staff before it, escalates into a major crisis. 7. Update the senior management on day-to-day progress of the client work and report any client or staff issues. The candidate should possess the following characteristics : · Very strong work ethic and excellent communication skills especially in spoken and written English. · Experience working in the US time zone is strongly preferred. · Experience in directly working with US clients and state authorities. · Candidate  should be a Qualified Chartered Accountant or an experienced Inter CA . · Must be able to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. · You must not just enjoy, but love interacting with clients and the ability to mentor team members.
