Their engineering team has recently rearchitected their platform and is developing a next generation AI product, positioning the company for rapid growth. As they prepare for enterprise expansion and a new funding round, they are seeking a VP of Engineering who is both a hands on technical leader and a commercially minded exec to shape the future of their technology and business. The Role This role combines technical execution with strategic leadership, requiring someone who can contribute hands on while also engaging with investors, enterprise clients, and senior stakeholders . The VP of Engineering will play a crucial role in helping the company meet its investment and financial objectives, ensuring that the engineering strategy aligns with fundraising efforts, revenue growth, and long term scalability. This is an opportunity to directly impact the company’s success in securing funding and closing major enterprise deals. What You’ll Do

• Lead and contribute hands on to backend development (Python), ensuring scalability and security.
• Work closely with the CTO and Senior Engineering Leaders to align technical strategy with business objectives and investor expectations.
• Represent the engineering team in VC discussions, fundraising, and enterprise client meetings, translating technical vision into business value.
• Define and execute an engineering roadmap that supports revenue growth and product scalability.
• Scale and mentor the engineering team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
• Ensure the platform is capable of handling enterprise level solutions.
• Balance technical priorities with commercial goals, ensuring that engineering decisions contribute to business growth and investment success.

• Experienced engineering leader (VP of Engineering, Director of Engineering, or similar) with a track record of both technical execution and strategic leadership.
• Strong backend development expertise (Python preferred), with experience building scalable systems.
• Commercially minded engineer who understands how technology drives business value and can confidently engage with investors, clients, and leadership teams.
• Passionate about mentorship and fostering diverse teams.
• Experience in AI, fintech, compliance, or other highly regulated industries is a strong plus.
• Prior involvement in fundraising, investor due diligence, or M&A discussions is highly desirable.
