Job Description Reporting to the Environment Manager, this position will work closely with the project teams of construction and environmental departments, directly managing, coordinating and communicating environmental requirements during the design and delivery project phases. The Project The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver WA's next major water source - A new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos. At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean, safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year. Key accountabilities for the position

1. Implementation of Environment Policy, Procedures and Legislative Requirements
2. Assist with the implementation of internal and external audits findings (Improvement Opportunities, Non-Conformance's).
3. Develop and maintain key relationships with other project functions
4. Implementation of measures to ensure compliance with project approvals, management plans and procedures
5. Conduct regular environmental and sustainability inspections and contribute to client and stakeholder inspections and audits
6. Conduct environmental monitoring, as required including noise, vibration, water and air quality
7. Monitoring environmental consultants during site works including contaminated land, ecologists and fauna handlers
8. Collection and maintenance of environmental reports and monitoring data
9. Development and delivery of environmental training, toolboxes and inductions
10. Planning for upcoming night works including noise modelling and analysis of noise monitoring results
11. Investigation and monitoring following community environmental complaints
12. Assist with managing compliance with Environmental Performance Requirements (EPRs)

Required Skills and Competencies

1. Tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or Equivalent
2. Experienced working out on site to support ongoing construction activities
3. Working knowledge of Environmental Management Systems (ISO14001)
4. Working knowledge of environmental legislation, regulations and best practice publications.
