Role/ Department: This role sits within the Operations department in the Saudi office in Riyadh and reports into the Head of Operations. This is a mid-senior role where the successful candidate will be a self-motivator, with the ability to work in a team or individually. The successful candidate will be looking after account opening covering GCC and QFIs and entitlement activities. The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Manage Middle Eastern Trade and Settlement activity
  • Ensure appropriate oversight on cash and stock reconciliations, ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Manage Proxy voting activity ensuring nil errors
  • Possess a good knowledge and understanding of account opening in the Saudi market for GCC and QFI institutions
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with internal stakeholders across various locations to maximize delivery to our clients that meets the service level agreements
  • Analyze internal reports received, raising appropriate queries to ensure delivery to clients is accurate and compliant with local regulations
  • Participate in relevant custody operations related meetings with other locations to maintain and develop subject matter expertise
  • Resolve queries and/or take action on all queries within set standards and timeframes
  • Manage, train, and provide guidance to more junior staff in the team on day-to-day BAU activities
  • Ensure business resiliency is up to date and tested regularly
  • Work with the Head of Operations on any other assigned tasks
Skills / Qualifications: The successful candidate will benefit from having:
  • Middle Eastern market knowledge, especially Saudi Arabia
  • Extensive technical and/or business knowledge within the Securities Processing function
  • Support and guidance for internal partners on daily issues and with project implementation
  • Liaise with the rest of the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity
  • Carry out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and ambiguous issues
  • Clear and precise communication skills
  • Firm grasp of the end-to-end business processes, understanding the impact of change or an issue on related areas
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal
  • Analytical approach
  • Effective communication skills
  • Remote management experience
  • Proactively stay current with industry information
