Job Description We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Qatar LLC. Position Description Job title: QMI Project Engineer M/F Contract type: Fixed-term-contract Contractual hours: Full time Contract duration: 3 Years Job Overview SPIE is undertaking a significant Process Gas Chromatographs replacements and upgrade project, involving over 100 complex analysers. The QMI Project Engineer will be part of the Minor Projects section of Qatar Shell GTL, which is responsible for project engineering, construction, and commissioning aspects of all minor projects. The incumbent will be responsible for the development of projects engineering and construction packages, inspections, test procedures, SATs, commissioning & maintenance spares, and the building of documentation related to Complex Analysers and associated sampling systems, instrumentation, and electrical requirements. Profile The candidate should be a university graduate in Instrumentation Engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 15 years of experience in the oil & gas/petrochemical industry covering QMI project engineering, detail design, installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance. His/her experience shall cover project planning, installation, FAT/SAT, commissioning of QMI packages, specifically process gas chromatographs, and its sampling systems, data communication network, AMADAS, and analyzer houses safeguarding systems. Other necessary experience includes proven facilitation experience, good presentation and writing skills, appreciation of cultural diversity, and a focus on continuous learning and improvement. The candidate should have knowledge of Design Engineering Practices and international standards applicable to QMI projects and maintenance. The incumbent shall have the ability to work in a team in a multicultural environment and must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Fluency in both written and verbal English is mandatory. Key Experience Required

  • Engineering and detail design experience in oil & gas/petrochemical QMI projects
  • Installation and commissioning of Process Gas Chromatographs and other QMIs
  • Knowledge level competencies in QMI sampling systems design
  • Skill level competencies in data communication network installation and commissioning
  • Knowledge level competencies in DCS, PLC, and PCD aspects of control systems
  • Knowledgeable in DEP's and other relevant international standards for QMI projects
  • Knowledgeable in hazardous area certification requirements
  • Knowledge level competencies in field instrumentation projects & maintenance
  • Knowledge level competencies in AMADAS
  • Knowledge level competencies in all kinds of project documentation
  • Experience with Yokogawa gas chromatographs is a prerequisite
  • QMI maintenance experience is a prerequisite.
