Job Purpose: This is a crucial role in the efficient functioning of our distribution center operations by overseeing and optimizing the receiving processes. This manager ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established procedures, contributing to the overall success of the distribution center. Job Responsibilities:

Receiving Operations: Oversee all aspects of receiving operations, including unloading, sorting, and processing inbound shipments.
Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of received shipments, including updating inventory systems and generating receiving reports.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the receiving operators, fostering a culture of efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to address receiving-related issues, coordinate deliveries, and resolve discrepancies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as inventory control, warehouse management, purchasing, transportation, and quality control to streamline receiving processes and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to receiving, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement changes to enhance the efficiency of receiving operations.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory requirements in the receiving area.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in a relevant field.
Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in all aspects of distribution center/warehouse operations and receiving operations demonstrating leadership capabilities.
In-depth knowledge of receiving processes, inventory systems, and supply chain operations.
Distribution Center Operations: Proficiency in overseeing all aspects of receiving operations, from unloading to documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effective collaboration with other departments to optimize receiving processes and overall supply chain efficiency.
Process Optimization: Skill in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Performance Monitoring: Experience in monitoring and analyzing KPIs to drive continuous improvement in receiving operations.
Excellent communication skills to relay crucial information to other team members and functions.
