Position: IT Technician Location: Doha, Qatar About Role: The IT Technician will be responsible for providing technical support in the organization. The incumbent is responsible for resolving issues promptly in coordination with department managers, other technical staff, and vendors. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support regarding Wi-Fi access, connectivity, and other IT-related issues and assist users with connecting their devices with the network.
- Set up and configure computers and peripherals for new staff and train them to use technology tools.
- First point of contact for technical support to staff for hardware and software issues.
- Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
- Maintain accurate records of IT inventory, configurations, and procedures.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of security systems, including CCTV cameras.
- Handle infrastructure and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal performance under the guidance of the IT Engineer.
- Monitor network security and implement necessary measures to protect against potential threats.
- Maintain servers to ensure high availability and reliability through regular server backups and recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with the IT Engineer for technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of English (both written and verbal).
- Business acumen to deeply understand the organization’s goals, objectives, and culture.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and create solutions quickly.
- Strong technical knowledge of networking, server administration, IT security, software and hardware issues, and software and website building and maintenance.
- Technical certifications are a plus.
