Roles and Responsibilities This is a full-time on-site role for an Audiologist at Royal Health Group AE in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The Audiologist will be responsible for conducting hearing assessments, providing treatment and rehabilitation services for patients with hearing disorders, and fitting hearing aids. The role will also involve collaborating with other healthcare professionals to address patients' needs. Qualifications

  • Expertise in conducting hearing assessments and providing treatment
  • Experience in fitting and adjusting hearing aids
  • Knowledge of audiometric testing and interpretation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Master's degree in Audiology or related field
  • Valid license to practice as an Audiologist in Abu Dhabi Emirate
Responsibilities of an Audiologist
  • Hearing Assessment
    • Conducting hearing evaluations to measure sensitivity, clarity, and range of hearing.
    • Diagnosing conditions like sensorineural, conductive, or mixed hearing loss.
  • Balance and Vestibular Testing
    • Performing evaluations for dizziness, vertigo, and balance-related issues.
    • Using tests like VNG (videonystagmography) or caloric testing.
  • Hearing Device Management
    • Fitting, programming, and maintaining hearing aids or cochlear implants.
    • Teaching patients how to use and care for assistive listening devices.
  • Patient Counseling and Education
    • Advising patients on hearing conservation and strategies for coping with hearing loss.
    • Educating families on how to support patients with auditory challenges.
  • Tinnitus Management
    • Helping patients manage ringing in the ears through counseling and sound therapy.
  • Newborn Hearing Screening
    • Conducting screenings to detect hearing loss in newborns and infants.
    • Recommending early interventions for detected issues.
  • Hearing Conservation
    • Promoting hearing protection in occupational and recreational settings.
    • Developing workplace programs to prevent noise-induced hearing loss.
Common Conditions Treated by Audiologists
  • Hearing Loss : Sensorineural, conductive, and mixed hearing loss.
  • Tinnitus : Ringing, buzzing, or other phantom sounds.
  • Balance Disorders : Vertigo, Ménière’s disease, and vestibular neuritis.
