PS Companies is seeking an experienced Med Surg Tele RN for an opening based in Newburgh, IN. This is a full time 13 week travel contract position. Schedule Details: 48 HPW; 12hr Nights Holiday/Weekend Requirements: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other Holiday Float Requirement: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible. Patient Population: Complex Med/Surg/Tele patients. Post cardiac caths with interventions, CVA/TIA, ICD. Complex abdominal surgeries (open bellies/colons), oncology, cranis POD 2 Requirements include, but are not limited to: Active IN or Compact RN License. BLS (AHA) Certification ACLS (AHA) Certification NIHSS Certification 2 years of MS Tele experience Travel experience Trauma level II experience Charge nurse experience preferred EPIC experience required Ability to clear a drug screen/background check. Skillset REQUIRED: NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong neuro assessement skills. Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (travelers are required to pass a tele test), Intitate/titrate drips (Insulin, cardiac, Heparin, etc.), heart cath recovery (fem. & TR bands). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills! Skillset PREFERRED: NG/PEG tubes, PIV insertion, Tikosyn doing, chest tubes.
